Diaconate Ordination at St. Paul’s Major Seminary, Regent, Freetown
On Tuesday, 19th March 2013, three Deacons were ordained by Most. Rev. Patrick D. Koroma, Bishop of Kenema, in the St. Paul’s Major Seminary chapel. The three Deacons are: Rev. Augustine Amos Sesay of the Diocese of Makeni; Rev. Victor Mendy of the Diocese of Banjul and Rev. Emmanuel Beecher of the Diocese of Bo.
The Ordaining Prelate reminded the young deacons of their responsibilities in the clerical state and the call to be of service to God, their Dioceses and the universal Church. He also implored their families, relatives and friends to continue to support them as they take their final step to the ministerial priesthood.
In his vote of thanks, Rev. Emmanuel Beecher, on behalf of the other Deacons thanked God for making it possible for them to be raised to the clerical state. He thanked their Bishops, families, formation staff and benefactors and all who have helped them in their nine-year long formation journey.
